Lebron James played his 212th postseason game on Friday and didn’t allow the game to end on an ordinary note as he climbed up ahead of Michael Jordan to sit 1st on the postseason career points.
LeBron James went into the Game 5 with 27 points behind Michael Jordan on the career postseason points but after hitting a three-pointer in the 3rd quarter that gave him 29 points, he is now seated 1st on the table ahead of ‘The Ghost‘. Michael Jordan has 5987 points (2nd) and Lebron James now has 5989. LeBron James is now king on the postseason career points list and there would be no more chasing ‘The Ghost’.
In the 2nd Round of the Playoffs, Lebron James leapfrogged Abdul Jabbar to become 2nd on the postseason career points when he scored 39 points in the Game 2 against Toronto Raptors. He sat right beneath Michael Jordan with 5777 points.
LeBron James scored 35 points, 8 rebound and 8 assists, Kyire Irving scored 24 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists and Kevin Love scored 15 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists. Cavaliers won the Game 5 with a 135-102 win against Boston Celtics.
Avery Bradley led Celtics with 23 points and 4 rebounds, Gerald Green scored 14 points and 2 rebounds and Jae Crowder scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Boston Celtics were 1st to clinch the Playoff Berth and its disappointing for them not to have proceeded to the NBA Finals. Isaiah Thomas being out with injury costed them so much.
“We are disappointed. I feel like if we weren’t, there would be a problem. The great thing is the experience. We were able to go to the Eastern Conference Finals, learn about being in this position, and I feel like it’s going to help us for next year” Bradley reflected.
Cleveland Cavaliers won the Eastern Conference Finals win a 4-1 lead in the series.
