Cristiano Ronaldo Reveals His Mum's Attitude That Nearly Cost Him His STARDOM & SUCCESS
Portuguese international, Crisstiano Ronaldo revealed on The Players’ Tribune how he started playing football from the streets of Madeira and how he became a professional footballer, aiming to only be the best. In all the successes he has enjoyed on the that journey, he opened up on not getting an earlier support from his mother and sisters.
Through his father’s lobbying skills, he got into a football youth team, Andorinha FC and he had his father as his cheerleader on his match days with the rest of his family not bothered. “My father was on the sidelines at every match with his big beard and his work trousers. He loved it. But my mother and sisters had no interest in football” he revealed expecting them to have been excited about something most ladies didn’t enjoy back then.
“So every night at dinner my father kept trying to recruit them to come see me play. It was like he was my agent” he explained but no even when he tell them he had scored they were still uninterested “so what could I do? i just kept scoring and scoring. After many brilliant performances with his team, his father got a lot to say which finally made his mother and sisters decide to go and watch him though they looked compelled, he described.
