Retired Portuguese player Luis Figo also joined the many football stakeholders’ talks on Ronaldo’s rumor of leaving Real Madrid and he thinks it’s unlikely to happen, as reported by Goal.com.
Luis Figo was the best during his time as he moved from Barcelona to join their rivals Real Madrid but despite his impart, he believes no individual can render a club function-less without their presence. “I hold the opinion that nobody is indispensable, not just Cristiano Ronaldo Clubs can’t depend on anybody, The history of these Clubs is above everyone, even the president or whoever” he told Gol.
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in 2009 and has won 2 La Liga Title, 2 Copa Del Rey Cups and 3 Champions League title. He ended this season with a Champions League and La Liga win. His recent tax fraud accusations made by the Spanish prosecutors has troubled the player and formed a believable reason for his departure from the home of the European Champions.
He was accused of €14.8 million tax fraud for concealing earnings from his image rights between 2011 and 2014. He will appear in Court on 31st July 2017 for further probing into the case.
“A lot of things would have to happen for him to leave. It’s a personal decision and if a person really wants something to happen, then it will end up happening, but I see it as unlikely.” Figo added.
Cristiano Ronaldo will retire one day- if he doesn’t leave before then- so the Club would have to build the team in such a way that if any brilliant player heads for the exit, they wouldn’t be exposed.
Ronaldo had been linked to moves to PSG and Manchester United, but the player is on International duty and scored the lone goal in their victory against Russia yesterday (21st June 2017) in the Confederations Cup. Hehasn’t made comments on any of the speculations.
